In this, part 1 of the blog, we set out and explain the first 3 out of 6 building blocks to an awesome technology marketing foundation which will ultimately scale your specialist IT marketing efforts, drive more funnel and ultimately make your own technology business more profitable. 

Modern IT marketing moves at an incredible pace but once you have your foundations laid you can easily keep up to date with the latest market conditions and pivot your marketing activity accordingly.

No. 2 – IT CONTENT MARKETING

This is the invaluable technique of developing and delivering worthy, related and consistent content to acquire and retain a clearly defined audience. The overriding target here being to reach targeted customers and to drive on the sales programme. IT Content Marketing is the sharing of any type of media or publishable material such as Blogs, Whitepapers, Infographics, Videos, Case Studies, Webinars and Podcasts etc.

No. 3 - TRAFFIC GENERATION

Search Engine Optimisation will help to drive your content and will ultimately generate web traffic. This will start to spiral interest and demand for your content which in turn will increase sales. Main components of a successful traffic generation campaign are;

  • Blogging
  • SEO and Organic Search
  • PPC (Pay Per Click)
  • Email Campaigns
  • Retargeting (a retarget of visitors to your website that did not subscribe first time around).
